How to be A Star
Time: 15 minutes |
|
In kindergarten, we learn to read for 3 purposes:
for fun, for information, and to follow directions.
Recipes are a great example of reading to follow directions.
|
| Materials Required: |
- Quart size zip lock freezer bags (one per person)
- Permanent marker
- 2 eggs per person
- Optional fillings: tomatos, cheese, peppers, onions, olives, cooked
bacon or sausage, etc.
- One large pot of boiling water
|
|
Directions:
|
Each person makes his or her own omelet by adding 2 eggs and chosen ingredients to a bag.
After 13 minutes, open the bags and the omelet will slide out easily - a beautiful log shaped omelet,
light and fluffy, no dirty dishes or fry pans to scrub! Prepare to be amazed!
- Wash hands thoroughly.
- Write name on bag with permanent marker.
- Crack 2 eggs (large or extra large) into the bag.
- Squeeze and shake bag to combine well.
- Add optional ingredients, squeeze out excess air, leaving egg mixture in the bottom of the bag, and zip bag closed.
- Place bags into rolling, boiling water for 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 at a time.
- Open the bag and slide omelet onto a plate.
