In kindergarten, we learn to read for 3 purposes:
for fun, for information, and to follow directions.
Recipes are a great example of reading to follow directions.

| Materials Required: |
- 1 package Pillsbury crescent rolls
- 8 large-size marshmallows (not mini)
- Optional: 2 tablespoons softened butter
or margarine
- Cinnamon sugar
- muffin baking tin or muffin baking stone
- small rubber spatula

This make-ahead treat can be found in the September, 2004 issue of Family Fun magazine.
- Wash hands thoroughly.
- Set your oven at 375 degrees.
- Open crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles.
- (Optional): Use a rubber spatula to lightly spread butter or margarine onto crescent rolls.
- Place a marshmallow in the center of each crescent roll.
- Sprinkle each crescent roll with cinnamon sugar.
- Wrap the sides of the crescent roll around the marshmallow and pinch edges to seal the seams. Roll into a ball.
- Place balls, seam sides up, in muffin tin.
- Bake about 10 -- 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
- Eat and enjoy!
