Herman the Worm
(a measurement song)
I was sitting on my fence post,
Chewing on my bubble gum: chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp,
Playing with my yo-yo: doo-op, doo-op,
Along comes Herman the worm.
He was this big (hold up hands).
I said, “Herman, what’s up with you, man?”
He said, “I just ate a fly.”
Repeat several times: spider, bird, cat, dog, horse, elephant.
Finally, Herman becomes small again. His final response is, “I burped.”
